SynEx is a continuation of my prior corporate service and research company called Synergy Corporate Services. I have been in this industry for over a decade now and love the challenges of providing quality customer service to all of our clients across the country. In addition to a top level staff here at SynEx, we have an excellent network of field correspondents located throughout our 12 state service area. Together, we strive to provide timely and 100% accurate information to our clients.

I spend the majority of my free time training myself and others at the gym for workouts consisting of a combination of weight training and cardio. I am an avid health and fitness enthusiast. I also love traveling, fine dining and attending cultural events such as the Shakespeare Festival and the ballet.

Charlie Hill

I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. I pursued undergraduate studies at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon and graduate studies at the University of Idaho. I taught applied mathematics at Boise State University for 15 years before joining forces with my good friend, Kristi Herring, at SynEx in 2009.

Kristen Grugel

I am a hippie at heart just trying to enjoy the simple things in life. I have 3 Pembroke Welsh Corgis who take up most of my time when I am not away at work. I enjoy playing disc golf, dancing to techno, eating sushi, and I’m always down for anything outdoors in the summer time. I have awesome karaoke skills in the office and I do believe that Synex is the best place I have ever worked. I love my work family!

I have been in the real estate/mortgage business since 1996 (real estate office manager, realtor, loan officer assistant, loan processor, doc drawer, funder, underwriter, compliance officer...) I've been married 10 years, all my children have paws....I am a member of the Boise Capital Lions Club....I love arts and crafts, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.

I am married and have an amazing and adorable 3 year old son. I enjoy camping, fishing and anything outdoorsy!! I started working part-time for SynEx Corporate Services in August 2008 as an office assistant. Now I work full time as manager of SynEx's Civil/Corporate Department.

Gary Pipkin
Accounting Department

I'm Kristi's father and just recently joined her firm (out of retirement) to lend a hand with financial consulting and attempting to master Quick Books for the accounting side of the business. I live in Colorado and own a horse ranch between Denver and Colorado Springs. My background includes over 20 years of experience in large retail chains serving as Chief Executive Officer of multi-state operations culminating with an additional 10 years of owning my own chain of fast food restaurants.
